Abby Wilkerson

I’m an outdoorsy girl, sports enthusiast, and avid reader, all of which generally informs my travel: my favorite place to travel is anywhere I can ski and I desperately want to summer in Nantucket thanks to Elin Hildebrand. My dream trip is Greece, thanks to my elementary school teacher who instilled a lifelong love of mythology (hi Mrs. Hickman!). When not visiting various youth soccer fields around the southeast, I can be found on the farm that I call home with my husband, two daughters, and a varying number of dogs, goats, chickens, and cows.

What’s Your Travel Style?

“My travel style completely depends on where I’m going and what the purpose is. For adventurous travel, I like to have all my Ts crossed and Is dotted: itinerary set, tickets purchased, color-complimentary outfits for Insta-worthy photos. But on the occasion that we’re headed to my favorite beach (Fripp Island, SC), my only agenda is making sure I pack enough books and sunscreen.”

What Georgia Spot Feels
Like ‘Home’ to You?

“‘Home’ to me is actually the two places I’ve called home: my parents’ house overlooking the north Georgia mountains, and my farm in Jefferson. Both are set in the country with amazing natural views and tons of space to find adventure.”

What’s One Thing You
Always Do When You Travel?

“Much to my family’s chagrin, whenever we travel somewhere new, a good portion of my time is spent searching for the perfect Christmas ornament. We have an entire tree dedicated to ornaments that remind us of our travel adventures together.”
